Since 1980's, Konoshima has been developing several transparent polycrystalline ceramics. These ceramics were entered the commercial market, and used for several applications such as arc tubes for HID lamp, optical substrate for the LCD projector's polarizer, the gain medium for high-power solid state laser, and so on. We will follow on challenging to develop high quality ceramic materials from now on.
